Interested or Invested? The Mindset Shift That Changes Everything

The Christian Life Coach Podcast Episode 76

This episode explores the powerful difference between being interested in a goal and truly being invested in it.

Shanna explains that many of us unknowingly confuse the two. We tell ourselves we're committed to getting healthy, growing spiritually, improving relationships, or building a business. Yet our actions don't reflect that commitment. Instead of recognizing that we're simply still interested, we often assume something is wrong with us.

The episode challenges listeners to stop interpreting inconsistent action as laziness or failure and instead ask an honest question:

Am I actually invested in this?

Investment always costs something. It requires time, attention, energy, consistency, and often saying no to other things. Our daily habits, calendars, and routines reveal what we're truly invested in, not simply what we hope to achieve.

Rather than creating shame, this awareness creates freedom. It's okay to simply be interested in something until you're ready to make the investment. Once you decide something is worth investing in, your habits become daily votes for the woman you're becoming.
