Interested or Invested? The Mindset Shift That Changes Everything
The Christian Life Coach Podcast Episode 76
This episode explores the powerful difference between being interested in a goal and truly being invested in it.
Shanna explains that many of us unknowingly confuse the two. We tell ourselves we're committed to getting healthy, growing spiritually, improving relationships, or building a business. Yet our actions don't reflect that commitment. Instead of recognizing that we're simply still interested, we often assume something is wrong with us.
The episode challenges listeners to stop interpreting inconsistent action as laziness or failure and instead ask an honest question:
Am I actually invested in this?
Investment always costs something. It requires time, attention, energy, consistency, and often saying no to other things. Our daily habits, calendars, and routines reveal what we're truly invested in, not simply what we hope to achieve.
Rather than creating shame, this awareness creates freedom. It's okay to simply be interested in something until you're ready to make the investment. Once you decide something is worth investing in, your habits become daily votes for the woman you're becoming.

[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:40:46
Are you invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:40:50
Or are you simply just interested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:40:55
I heard this distinction in a book by John.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:00
Asaraf, I'm probably not saying that correctly, but it's called Innercise.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:06
And the question was asked, are you invested? No, the question was asked, are you interested or are you committed?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:18
And that has just popped up every so often, and it has really been a…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:24
a reoccurring theme.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:26
for me in my coaching and in my self-coaching over the past few weeks, and I think that this distinction explains a lot.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:39
So, welcome to the Christian Life Coach Podcast. I am Shanna, your Christian Life Coach, and let's jump in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:48
So last week we, I was talking about how.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:53
how habits are taking us.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:41:56
either closer to where we want to be or they're not, and that our intentional habits.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:05
Require attention.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:07
In order to keep.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:09
keep that rhythm that we want to be in, we need to pay attention to it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:16
And…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:18
This week, I am offering a workshop.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:21
The distinction between.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:24
Interested and invested or committed.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:30
And we often think, I'm committed to this thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:35
I am committed, but if we're not actually taking action on the thing, if we're not doing what it takes.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:46
to make the change that we think that we're committed to.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:50
then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:52
We're not really committed. We're just interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:55
And that's not criticism. That's not judgment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:42:59
It's awareness.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:01
And.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:02
As I often like to say, that is such good news, because once we're aware.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:09
We can address it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:11
we can recognize, oh, okay, I'm actually not committed to this.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:17
I've just been thinking that I am.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:19
But I'm interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:23
And so the difference is if you're interested in something.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:29
You think things along the lines of, oh, I'd like to do that. That would be nice. You might study, you might research, you might listen to podcasts and teachings and read books and talk about it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:44
and think about it, and occasionally take action towards it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:51
So that's when you're interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:53
When you're invested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:56
or committed.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:43:58
You've got skin in the game.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:01
You have decided.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:05
that.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:05
It costs more to stay where you're at than it does to do this thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:10
You make room for it in your life.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:13
You're taking action consistently.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:16
And you don't negotiate.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:20
And you continue even when motivation isn't available to you for that thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:28
Interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:29
Does it when it feels good, when it feels exciting, when you feel motivated? Invested, or committed, takes action.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:38
No matter what.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:42
So, investment…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:45
Always cost something.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:48
As does commitment, investment, commitment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:51
You don't invest or you don't commit accidentally.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:44:55
It requires, it costs you time, energy, attention, discomfort.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:03
Saying no to other things.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:06
It costs consistency. And sometimes.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:11
It costs money.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:12
And you invest, or you commit.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:15
to what actually matters to you.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:20
And your your real life, your actual life.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:24
Reveals.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:26
Whether you're invested or interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:30
And and there's either way isn't bad. It's not bad. It's not.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:36
It's a judgment, it's observation, it's awareness, and then you can acknowledge.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:43
But when you look at your calendar, when you look at your routines, the way that you spend your money, where you spend your money, the way that you think, your habitual thinking.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:55
That those things reveal.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:45:58
Where you are invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:01
Where you are committed, not where you wish you were.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:06
It doesn't show the things that you're interested in. This shows.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:10
the things that you're invested in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:13
And…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:16
So often, especially.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:18
Oh, my word. I don't know. Probably in a lot of things.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:22
In weight loss coaching.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:26
Um, in business coaching.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:30
Probably in decluttering coaching.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:34
We will often beat ourselves up for, you know, not taking the action, not getting the results that we want to. I haven't lost weight. I haven't made money. Why can't I do this? What's wrong with me? I know better. I know what I need to do.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:49
I should be farther along. I keep failing. I can't do this, whatever.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:54
And then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:55
What if…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:46:58
What if…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:00
The reason that you're not accomplishing that thing, the reason that you're not taking the consistent action to get the result that you want.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:08
is because…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:11
You've been expecting yourself to take behavior.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:16
From a place of being invested and committed.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:20
But really, you're just interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:23
Like, oh.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:25
I actually, I'm not invested in that.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:29
I'm interested. I would like to achieve that.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:33
I know all the ways to do it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:37
I'm just not invested. I'm not committed yet.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:41
I haven't decided.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:44
To cut off the other options.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:46
I haven't decided.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:49
That I'm going to do this.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:51
Regardless of how I feel.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:55
And that changes everything. It changes…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:47:58
It changes our internal dialogue.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:01
And when you get to that point, can you just allow yourself to be like, oh, okay, I'm just interested in this.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:10
I just haven't committed, and that's okay.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:14
And then you can decide what you want to do from there.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:17
Is it something that you want to invest in? Is it something that you want to be committed to?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:25
The bottom line is…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:28
Interested people don't take consistent action.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:35
And especially when they don't feel like it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:38
If progress isn't happening.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:43
If we're not taking action. If we're not being consistent.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:49
We automatically jump to, I'm lazy, I'm broken, I have no discipline.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:54
But when we realize.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:48:57
Oh, I'm just interested in this. I'm not committed to it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:02
It's not that I'm lazy. I'm not broken. I actually do have discipline because I do the things that I'm committed to.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:09
I'm just not committed to this.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:12
And you could just ask like, am I invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:15
Because if I was invested, I would be taking action towards it. Not perfectly.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:22
and you wouldn't achieve the thing right away just because you decide. But.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:27
If I was actually invested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:30
I would be taking more action.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:32
I would be more consistent.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:37
So progress is evidence that you're invested when you're making progress towards thing something.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:45
That is evidence that you're invested, that you're committed to doing it. And.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:49:52
Being interested and not, like I keep saying, being interested and not invested or committed isn't a bad thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:02
You can be interested in a lot of things.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:06
Getting healthy.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:07
Reading your Bible more.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:10
Growing your marriage, getting more connected with your husband.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:15
Um, having a better relationship with your grown kids, building a business, saving money.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:20
And you can be researching all of those things.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:24
But don't shame yourself for being interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:30
Just don't confuse it with being invested or committed.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:34
To me, this is just, like, it's so freeing. It's such great awareness.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:39
To acknowledge.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:41
Like, oh, if I really want to achieve that thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:47
That requires investment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:49
That requires commitment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:52
And then you can decide, okay, it's time. I'm ready to invest, I'm ready to commit, or…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:50:59
I don't know that I'm really ready yet.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:02
I think that is so good.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:06
So how how do you go from being interested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:13
to invest it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:14
It's not by trying harder, not by willpower, white-knuckling.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:19
It's a decision.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:23
You decide. You count the cost. What is it costing me to stay in this place of being interested but not committed? What is it costing me to stay where I'm at?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:37
Rather than pursuing that thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:39
What are the benefits of being invested and achieving that?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:46
And you determine, is it worth the investment?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:51
And then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:51:52
you start taking action. If you decide, if you decide, okay, this is worth it, I actually do want to achieve this thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:00
I'm going all in. I am invested. And all in doesn't mean perfect. It doesn't mean all or nothing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:06
I am deciding. I am all in with my brain that this is worth it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:12
That achieving this goal is worth it to me. It is worth the investment of my time, my energy, maybe my money.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:22
Is it worth the investment of having to say no to some other things?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:27
And then you start taking action.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:30
Whatever it is. Working out.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:34
Prayer time, eating healthy, having hard conversations.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:39
Recording podcasts in the afternoon after you've had several coaching calls.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:48
And every act of obedience to your commitment to your investment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:55
is casting a vote.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:52:58
For that thing that you want. For you becoming the person that does that thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:07
And then it all comes back down to habits. What are the habits that are required?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:16
To achieve that thing that I am now invested in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:19
And I'm investing in achieving this goal with my habits. Every action that you take is a vote.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:30
Every action that you take is either moving you closer to that thing that you want, or it isn't.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:37
Every time that you follow through on that habit or that rhythm.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:43
You're saying, you are reinforcing to yourself, this is worth investing in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:49
This is worth the commitment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:54
Your habits reveal.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:57
your investments.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:53:59
And your investment, the things that you're committed to, shape who you're becoming.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:06
So instead of asking yourself, how do I become more disciplined?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:10
Which, and discipline to me isn't even a bad word.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:13
Discipline is a good thing. But if you're having to force it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:22
Then it's coming from a place of pressure.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:26
Of pushing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:28
Ask, what am I actually invested in?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:32
What really matters to me?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:35
That is worth the cost.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:39
that it's going to take to get there.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:43
Choose one thing. One thing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:46
And then what is what's a habit that you can be practicing?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:51
working on to get there.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:55
And it could be…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:54:56
towards a health goal, a relationship goal, a business goal.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:04
Are you interested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:07
Or are you invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:11
Are you interested, or are you ready to be invested? Are you ready to invest? Are you ready to commit?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:19
And then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:24
Remind yourself every day that you're invested in this.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:28
And, like, you're investing your time and energy. Invest. Every day.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:33
What does it look like to invest in this every day?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:40
And what you're really investing in is you.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:44
are you worth?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:46
this investment.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:52
So.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:54
Being interested in things isn't a problem.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:55:58
But…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:01
Being dishonest with yourself.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:05
And telling yourself that you are committed, that you are invested when really you're just interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:12
That's a problem.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:13
So you just want to be more honest. You want to ask yourself the questions.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:18
Am I interested in this?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:20
Or am I invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:24
And give yourself permission to just be interested. That's okay.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:29
I'm interested in a lot of things.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:35
And there are…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:37
Few things that I'm invested in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:41
I'm invested in my marriage.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:44
I'm invested in my relationship with my kids.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:48
My grandkids.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:50
I'm about to have my second one in November. I can't even believe it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:54
So excited.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:56:56
I am invested in my business, in growing my business, in, um, improving my business.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:06
And making my business more profitable, and helping people through my coaching.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:11
I am invested in that.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:14
What I have not been invested in, but I have told myself that I was, that I am committed to.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:22
was…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:23
My weight.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:26
There was a time that I was completely all in invested in.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:31
getting my weight down, losing weight, getting to a certain size, and I achieved that…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:38
And then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:41
I switched from being committed and invested to just interested. I would talk about it a lot. I would think about it a lot.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:49
And that has been a pretty big epiphany to me, because I do, I write it down, I talk about it, I think about it.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:57:56
I haven't been invested. I've shifted my investment. I've shifted my focus, as I've talked about previously.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:04
And now I get to decide, am I ready to reinvest?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:10
My weight.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:17
Don't expect…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:19
results.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:22
that you can only get from being invested when you're just interested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:29
Allow yourself to just be interested until you're ready.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:33
And then once you decide that you're invested, things change.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:36
You don't ask yourself if you feel like it. You stop negotiating with yourself, and you just begin acting as if.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:45
That's who you are.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:50
So.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:51
What do you take from this?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:58:54
Start paying attention to the things that you're thinking about when you're, um, when you get down on yourself.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:01
When you get frustrated with yourself for not having… not being at a certain place, or not having achieved a certain thing, ask yourself.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:12
Am I interested in this or am I actually invested?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:14
And if it's interested, don't beat yourself up. And if it's invested, don't beat yourself up either, because we're not perfect.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:22
Just be honest. Oh, actually.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:25
I've just been interested in this, not invested, so…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:30
What? Then ask yourself the next question. Am I ready to become invested in this?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:37
Or not.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:39
You get to decide.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:44
I would love to hear how this lands for you.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:49
Is there something?
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:51
that you have been judging yourself for not doing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 14:59:57
And has this helped you to realize that you're just interested in that? You're not invested.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:05
Which is okay.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:10
I love this topic. I love all things habits and.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:16
goals and all of the things, and I just, I think that this concept is so freeing.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:23
It acknowledges what's true.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:28
And then…
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:29
invites you to decide what you want to do next.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:34
I would love to hear what you think.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:36
Okay.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:38
If you want help with any of this, if you want help.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:42
Being honest.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:44
Gaining awareness.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:46
And then deciding how you want to move forward.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:50
And somebody to cheer you on and walk alongside you and help you see.
[Shanna Pyzer | shannapyzer.com] 15:00:56
Life coaching might be the thing that could help you.
